Not Made to Blend In

Hi, I’m Jodie—the creator, maker, problem-solver, and occasional chaos coordinator behind Smokin’ Gun Ranch.

I was born and raised in small-town Utah, surrounded by hardworking people, family-run businesses, animals, and the belief that if you want something, you figure out how to make it happen. I’m a wife, a mom of three, an animal lover, and a lifelong fan of creativity, Disney, sunshine, books, Bigfoot, aliens, and anything that makes life a little more interesting.

How Smokin’ Gun Ranch Began

Smokin’ Gun Ranch was born during the chaos of 2020.

Between starting a new job, homeschooling my kids, and feeling completely burned out, I needed something that belonged to me—a creative outlet where I could experiment, learn, and make things with my own hands.

I had wanted a vinyl cutter for years, so I finally bought one and started creating wooden home décor signs. One project led to another, and before long I was making comfortable graphic tees, hats, vinyl decals, and custom pieces.

Then I discovered car freshies at a local market, and I was hooked.

Freshies gave me endless possibilities to combine scent, color, personality, humor, and design. They quickly became one of my favorite things to make and remain at the heart of Smokin’ Gun Ranch today.

Always Creating

In 2024, I added laser engraving to the shop, opening the door to even more products—including engraved tumblers, wallets, journals, keychains, hat clips, jewelry, and personalized gifts.

What began with one vinyl cutter has grown into a maker business filled with freshies, apparel, leather-patch hats, laser-engraved goods, decals, jewelry, and plenty of wonderfully unexpected creations.

My style doesn’t fit neatly into one box. It can be western, funny, sentimental, spooky, patriotic, bold, or completely out of this world. That’s intentional.

Smokin’ Gun Ranch is for people who don’t want the same thing everyone else has.

Every item is created with small-business care, western grit, and a whole lot of personality. Whether you’re choosing a freshie that makes you laugh, a shirt that says exactly what you’re thinking, or a custom gift made for someone special, I want it to feel like it was meant for you.
